Hedgehogs are one of the most common patients when it comes to wildlife rehabilitation. They are often seen as a ‘starter animal’ and those getting into wildlife rehabilitation may star their journey with hedgehogs! However, they are not easy animals to look after and issues can easily be missed if you’re unaware of the basics. This course covers what a ‘normal’ hedgehog is like, the four H’s (Hydration, Heat, Hygiene and Housing) and some common conditions. This is a starter course which will build the foundations of your rehab journey.
